“ The Kissing Hand” is the most famous work by all of them and I understand why. Harper profile shows she is hilarious! Even better, she tenderly holds one of her two kitties, a calico, in her portrait. The second illustrator hails from England.

Audrey Penn was a ballerina, Olympic figure-skating choreographer, and theatre actress who needed a new creative outlet, when arthritis halted dancing and skating. “ The Kissing Hand” is another wonderful, well-known children's story I discovered.
